The role is part of the Product Development and Engineering Group for Financial Analytics Application (OFSAA) within Financial Services Global business unit of Oracle. The group focuses on managing the regulatory compliance with respect to various risk applications, right from data expectations till the reporting requirements.Project / Role Details

The role exists in the Capital Adequacy Product Management team, which works on all the Capital Adequacy requirements (Basel requirements). The role is that of a Senior Regulatory Analyst and is an Individual Contributor role. The person is expected to be the subject matter expert in Capital Adequacy Risk Regulation and related matters, and can be across various guidelines like . The primary purpose of the role is to guide the technical product development team on the product requirement from a functional/business perspective.

Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirement
Interpreting risk regulation and preparation of Functional Design Document in order to build regulatory compliance within the product
Coordinating with the product development team on functional requirements of the product
Preparation and validation of functional test data and expected results for carrying on quality checks on the end product
Participating in the functional quality assurance of the product prior to release
Investigating and resolving data %26amp; underlying functionality issues in the product
Required Skills:

Qualification at Master level in Finance (E.g. MBA, PG Diploma etc)
Strong understanding of financial risk management in banks
Around 7 years of relevant experience in functional role in banks or techno-functional role in software companies

If experience is in a bank, it should be within the Risk Management function in areas like capital management, risk reporting, risk data management etc
If the experience is in a software company, it should be within the Risk %26amp; Compliance function with focus on banking clients

Understanding of current and upcoming risk regulation around Credit, Counterparty Credit, Market %26amp; Operational Risk, Net Capital Calculations, Capital Ratio Calculations, Large Exposures, and Leverage Ratio.
Detailed understanding of and prior experience in Basel Capital Adequacy Guidelines and different capital calculation methodologies %26ndash; Standardized Approach, Foundation IRB Approach, Advanced IRB Approach.
Basic SQL and data management skills
Ability to interpret new risk regulations/ guidelines
Strong oral and written communication
Ability to work in Agile methodology to meet the rigorous regulatory timelines.
Desired Skills:

Certifications like FRM, PRM or any other Risk certification will be an advantage
Ability to appreciate difference in risk regulatory requirements in different jurisdictions
Intermediate level of understanding of Statistics is desired though not mandatory
Ability to connect details with the broader objective of the product
Good presentation skills
Understanding of Credit Risk Economic Capital Requirements, Operational Risk Economic Capital Requirements.
Understanding of various Pillar 2 Requirements
Ability to understand the reporting requirements in the form of Pillar 3 Requirements, and Regulatory Reports

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
