A fantastic and unique opportunity has come up within our fund services team in London. Due to covid the role will start remotely until we return to the London office.

Position Overview

This is a key hire for SS&C to support our growing distressed debt and loan fund client base. The role has three core elements: management of client relationships and communications across multiple jurisdictions, review and oversight of client deliverables and coordination of service delivery across various SS&C functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the client deliverables and coordinate with the Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Valuations and Operational teams in multiple jurisdictions
• Client relationship management, interacting with clients at various levels and develop plans to enhance client relationships
• Review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and partner capital recording packages including all supporting work papers and disclosure documents
• Provide subject matter expertise for debt/loan investments
• Fund Administration, providing client service on a multitude of matters including recording and analysing transactions, reconciliations; wire payments, call and distribution notices, and preparation of work paper packages
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Responding to client enquiries and requests
• Coordinate communications with the clients
• Preparation of client service plans, MIS, calendars and timelines
• On-boarding of new clients and funds
• Coordination of external audits
• Develop a network of industry contacts and attend industry events
• Support the sales team in business development for Private Debt/Private Equity funds

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field - preferable
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) - ideally
• Relevant experience of Private Equity and/or Private Debt - knowledge of the closed ended fund structures
• Familiarity with preparing and reviewing of capital call and distribution calculations, management fee calculations, waterfall calculations and preparation of financial statements
• Knowledge of partnership accounting
• Knowledge of US GAAP / UK GAAP and IFRS
• Prior supervisory experience
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure and manage tight internal and client deadlines
• Strong communication skills, including written, listening and presentation abilities
• Solid attention to detail
• Excellent client relationship management skills
• Willingness to travel, occasional travel required to other offices
