Manager - External Reporting

Hologic currently have an exciting opportunity for an External Reporting Manager to join our dynamic and talented finance team based in Manchester.


SUMMARY


In this role, you will be responsible for leading the external reporting and filing requirements for 20+ EMEA entities, ensuring accounts are prepared to the highest standards and within reporting deadlines. You will lead process improvement through the project to transition Hologic's support in EMEA to a single source external provider.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Drive production of EMEA external reporting in local markets to the deadlines required such as; preparation, audit and filing of financial statements; corporation tax returns.
  • Manage accountants to ensure they meet local reporting and audit requirements, for all entities across EMEA, providing guidance and support where required
  • Working closely with external audit teams to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met
  • Manage statutory adjustments from US GAAP to local GAAP, noting and understanding differences
  • Manage external relationships with PWC and EY, driving efficiencies and process improvement
  • Keep up to date with latest accounting requirements/standards and company law and apply as necessary
  • Provide technical support and advise on accounting treatments such as accounting standard changes, research and development expenses and prepare accounting papers as necessary
  • Overview and track of external reporting deadlines, such as VAT, Intrastat, Payroll in each country
  • Attend leadership team meetings to report on progress and manage priorities
  • Develop a framework for managing delivery of local filings, including KPIs
  • Supporting the accounting team with reconciliations and queries

  • Highly organized, diligent and structured individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified 5+ years
  • Strong knowledge and background in FRS102, IFRS and US GAAP
