A fast growing media / tech company is looking to hire an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team due to an internal promotion. The role offers a salary between £28,000 pa and £32,000 pa DOE + benefits.

Responsibilities include:

* Management of purchase and sales ledgers
* Bank reconciliations
* Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts, including:
o Intercompany reconciliations
o Review of company overheads and nominal postings
o Maintenance of the fixed assets register and monthly depreciation journals
* Assist the team with quarterly VAT returns
* Ownership of the expense process
* Assist with group accounting
* Other ad hoc duties

Key Requirements of the Assistant Accountant:
* A positive, can do attitude
* Previous experience working in an accounts role
* Accounting degree or part qualified in CIMA or ACCA
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience with Xero is an advantage
