Part Time Accounts Assistant | Lincoln | £20,000 - £24,000pa pro rata FTE | Monday to Friday 22-30 hrs per week

McCarthy Adams recruitment are proud to be working closely this established Lincolnshire engineering business, where they are looking to strengthen their Finance team with an experienced Accounts Assistant on a part time basis, typically over 3 - 4 days a week. A key requirement for this role is strong Excel skills, including V-lookups and Pivot tables. As the accounts assistant you will be an integral part of the finance team, involved in all aspects of financial administration for the business, along with assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts and payroll processing. Prior experience is essential for this position and AAT qualification.

Key responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:

* Supporting with month end reporting and data collection.

* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.

* Maintenance of fixed asset register.

* Collation of data for weekly KPI reporting.

* Responsible for raising and distributing all sales invoices in an accurate and timely manner.

* Responsible for monthly reporting of overheads and associated variance analysis.

* Responsible for the preparation and posting of all monthly prepayments and accruals.

* Responsible for all employee timesheet entry ready for monthly payroll submission.

* Providing administrative support for payroll.

* Providing holiday cover for other team members such as accounts payable.

* Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the business.

Requirements:

* Strong Excel skills including working knowledge of V-lookups and Pivot tables.

* AAT or studying towards qualification.

* Previous Accounts Assistant.

* Strong interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with people at all levels.

* Strong capability with Microsoft office and other software.

* Experience of reporting to tight deadlines.

* Ability to work on own initiative.

* High level of attention to detail.

* Team player
