Michael Page are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a commercial Public Sector organisation based in Wakefield.

The client is a large Public Sector organisation based in Wakefield. They operate very commercially and are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join their established and successful team. Description

As the Financial Controller, duties will include but are not limited to, managing a small team, leading the team who is responsible for producing monthly and annual accounts, preparing budgets and forecasts, acting as a business partner to managers and budget holders across the organisation, monitoring the cash flow, preparing the annual statement of Accounts, producing monthly budget holder reports, managing the forecasting procedures and processes, working closely with the Head of Finance, dealing with queries and other ad hoc duties.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ACA/ CIPFA) ESSENTIAL
  • Have prepared budgets and forecasts previously ESSENTIAL
  • Have managed staff previously either in a manager, supervisor or team leader position ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked with budget holder previously ESSENTIAL
