This is a key role within the Banking Function of the Financial Accounting Services Team (FAST). FAST is a division of Scottish Courts & Tribunals Service (SCTS) Corporate Services. The role reports to the Finance People & Resource Manager. The Banking Team are a centralised processing unit, they play an integral role in making sure SCTS continue to operate effectively. As part of the team you will work closely with finance colleagues, operational business units and stakeholders to ensure the Banking function delivers a robust money management service within the framework of SCTS policies and the relevant accounting standards. You will be part of a growing team that plays an integral role in monitoring the transactional flow of SCTS revenue and expenditure. What will your role be? As the Banking teams Finance Analyst, we will trust you to take a proactive role in the management and analysis of SCTS bank activity e.g. cash management, income and expenditure. You will support the day to day management, monitoring and reconciliation of key bank accounts. You will be the Banking Subject Matter Expert; able to respond professionally, confidently and with diplomacy regarding all aspects of banking processes. Key responsibilities include: cash forecasting, analysis of bank movements, accurate and timeous reporting and maintenance of central bank accounts, payments and receipts. The role of the Banking Finance Analyst is key to the successful management of SCTS' cash flow. The Banking team are essential in maintaining a positive working capital position for the organisation.
