5 Hertford Street is the beautifully appointed private member's club owned and operated by entrepreneur Robin Birley; located in the heart of Mayfair. Our aim is to be a home away from home, in the utmost comfort, where members are looked after by a team who know them by name.

We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our finance team.

The responsibilities of the Financial Controller are:


• Directly reporting to the Financial Director and producing all daily and weekly financial reporting


• To supervise, manage and develop the Finance Team


• To act as primary liaison on, tax consultants, audit, and reporting matters where necessary.


• Assist with the formulation of the annual Budgets ensuring alignment with the overall Company Strategic Plan,


• Maintain reporting and tracking of the actual performance against budget including the monitoring of Business Critical KPI's and departmental reporting


• Monitor the company performance and forecasts against bank covenants.


• To maintain accurate and timely financial and operating information and provide analysis, interpretations and projections to management as required

The working hours:


• Monday - Friday and between 9am - 6pm, based in Mayfair, London

The club is closed on Bank Holidays and throughout Christmas each year.

• Established experience in a Financial Controller role essential


• Experience of working in a luxury hotel, restaurant or private member's club advantageous


• Full working knowledge of Tevalis, Sage 200 and Microsoft Office


• Ability to quickly build strong working relationships with operational teams


• Strong and effective communication skills
