The Role


The Finance Analyst role at TBWA\ World Health London is an integral part of the business. The role will provide commercial support to the Finance Manager in managing the smooth running of the finances across the business, supporting the account teams in profit maximisation and maintaining communication of financial information with the senior management team.


You will need to be able to work effectively with non-finance people at both junior & senior management levels and build good working relationships with the teams to succeed. You will need flexibility, excellent communication skills & a persuasive manner. In addition to this you will need to be highly motivated and efficient with your time.


Main

Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Management

  • Participate in the annual, quarterly and monthly budgeting and reforecasting process
  • Management reporting & support
  • Work with the management accounting team to meet reporting timetables and
  • responsibilities
  • Support Finance Manager in providing monthly management information for discussion at management meetings, to include:
  • Comparison of actual to budget information, with analysis as required
  • Comprehensive commentary for management review, covering variances and arising
  • trends in Revenue etc.


Month End

  • Client Income reconciliations, accruals and recognition
  • Prepare data for SSC team to report on HFM (Revenue and WIP)
  • Bi-Monthly income reforecasting with account teams
  • Support Finance Manager and Management Accountant with monthly P&L reforecasts


Quater End

  • Additional HFM reporting (Revenue & WIP)
  • Support team with SBOX preparation for review
  • Support Finance Manager with Ad hoc requests


Commercial

  • Client Profitability reporting
  • Support Finance Manager with preparation of Financial Decks
  • Month end time pack review, Utilisation reporting and preparing commentary
  • Support account teams on scoping & client agreements
  • Managing payment issues between client & suppliers
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis for AMP, FD, FM
  • Resource forecasting by client


Other Financial Responsibilities

  • Carixa & Euler credit insurance management
  • Manage relations with outsourced AR
  • WIP and Aged Debt management and review
  • Support Finance Manager and Management Accountant with Statutory Accounts
  • Support Finance Manager with finance inductions for new joiners at all levels
  • Ad hoc commercial/financial tasks as required


Personal Skills and Attributes

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and strong organisational and project management skills
  • Well organised and able to manage a busy reporting timetable
  • A good communicator, approachable and builds effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Strong excel skills


Desirable Experience

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA studier/part-qualified
  • Previous experience in a commercial analysis role an advantage
  • Advertising background preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics an advantage
