Position Description:

BlackRock EMEA Finance consists of Finance professionals in disciplines such as Business Finance, Treasury, Tax, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting Operations and Corporate Accounting. This role sits within the Accounts Payable team, as part of a global team based in Gurgaon, Singapore, Atlanta, Belgrade, Edinburgh and Budapest.

Reporting to Head of Global Financial Operations, this role as the Global head of Accounts Payable will manage the global end to end Accounts Payable process, overseeing the Transactional Processing functions as well as projects, internal and external audits and providing support to the global team of approximately 60+ colleagues. The applicant will have significant interface with cross-regional support functions. A key role is to ensure that the operations are performed in accordance with the agreed upon SLAs and within industry benchmarks. This position is a key member of the Finance Operations management team, which determines strategy and annual objectives. Planning and assignment of work, streamlining and improvement of processes, client surveys to ensure customer satisfaction are key objectives of the role. Additionally, implementation and maintenance of high standards of internal controls and SOX compliance is a must.



Responsibilities:


The BlackRock Finance Department is searching for a Director heading up the Global Accounts Payable (AP) Organization.

Core Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and motivate team members to deliver processes at the prescribed SLA levels or higher

  • Provide subject matter expert view in the P2P/Accounts Payable area

  • Oversee the supervisors of the various AP shared service functions; coordinate and manage activities and ensure globally consistent process flows

  • Work cross-functionally within and outside of Finance to ensure satisfaction with services which would include process enhancement, reporting, change management and additional automation

  • Development of team by building a strong identity and culture of high performance

  • Overseeing KPI's and addressing any areas of concern/development

  • Oversee AP controls and adherence to policies and procedure notes

  • Partner with the other Finance Operations management members to develop better, cost efficient mechanisms to deliver excellence in services

  • Set AP future strategy and annual team targets and objectives

  • Lead change management for AP

  • Strong Stakeholder management is one of the key responsibilities of the role


Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Accounts Payable/P2P experience in a multi-cultural environment

  • Local & GAAP accounting experience

  • Strong managerial skills, with a hands-on approach particularly in Accounts Payable space

  • Compliance orientated

  • Good general MS Office skills - PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office products

  • Ability to lead, develop, train and mentor staff

  • Strong analytic, organizational, Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong stakeholder management



  • Experienced Preferred:

  • Previous major CA / CPA firm or large multi-national corporation/BFSI experience

  • Banking & Financial services industry experience specifically transition services
