Our Risk and Compliance - Services team are trusted advisors and partners across the enterprise and we have the goal to transform operational risk management at BNZ. They are an ambitious team who are focused on providing risk support, guidance and insights to ensure good risk management today and in the future.

About the Role

Base in Auckland or Wellington.

As an organisation, we want to uplift our risk maturity and capability across the bank over key risk areas.  Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance - Services, you'll provide Technology & Digital risk subject matter expertise to senior leaders to develop and embed first line risk management strategies, ensure risk frameworks are fit for purpose and identify risk indicators across value chains.

You'll coach and mentor a team of Risk Managers who supports our enterprise by providing guidance and assistance to meet all first line risk management accountabilities.

You'll be the voice for Technology and Digital risk awareness with the goal of lifting our capability for all employees and risk maturity across BNZ.

About you

We are looking for a customer focussed senior leader to drive our passion to become a world-class risk function and create a strong work ethic and excellent team culture whilst maintaining a sense of humour.

Alongside your success in senior operational risk positions, you'll have experience understanding and applying Technology risk frameworks (such as COBIT, NIST ) and an understanding of APRA Prudential requirements.

You'll bring your proven ability to make sound decisions in high pressure environments, coupled with your ability to build relationships and influence across all levels including senior stakeholders. Knowledge and experience in financial services industry would be an advantage.
