Assurance Director, External Audit Generalist

Assurance Director, External Audit Generalist, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, San Jose, CA. Provide clients business advice of technical accounting and financial reporting standards, proactively identifying and articulating emerging technical issues. Apply auditing standards and firm audit methodology, reinforce compliance requirements, and evaluate and respond to the results of audit procedures. Apply project management skills to maximize the effectiveness of the audit, managing and prioritizing issues based on materiality and risk. Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for clients. Lead engagements and perform business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience.

Must have a US CPA license or foreign equivalent.

Must have at least one year of experience with each of the following:

• Applying Project Management Methodology, disciplining, scoping, planning, and overseeing complex engagements;
• Managing large projects by developing project teams, assessing engagement risks, driving conclusions, reviewing, and delivering projects;
• Working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards; and
• Leading, coaching, and supervising teams.

Travel required 40% of the time.
