This SME real estate company is looking to hire a Financial Controller based in their head office in Central London. The business is in an exciting growth period with plans to double in size over the next 3-5 years.
This No 2 role will report directly to the CEO and will take responsibility for the full finance function as well as managing a team. The company are seeking a qualified accountant that is technically capable who has a strong commercial acumen and the ability to work with senior stakeholders. Duties will include:
* Oversee the Group company accounts
* Create financial forecasts, financial plans and budgeting for the company
* Provide reports on monthly and yearly trends
* Support the CEO with board member and senior stakeholder meetings
* Responsibility for the budgeting, forecasting and financial plans
* Continuously looking at ways to improve existing processes and procedures
* Management of a small team including appraisals and development
The successful candidate will be ACCA or ACA qualified, with a minimum of three years relevant experience. You must be comfortable working in a hands on yet strategic role where you will be taking ownership for the day to day accounting and forecasting as well as working closely with senior management to support with financial decisions. Strong communication skills are essential in order to work closely with senior stakeholders.

The company would look for this person to be part of the senior management team within 12-18 months and assist with strategy making decisions in the business going forward
