Payroll Officer
£25,000 - £30,000 per annum
Woolstone, Milton Keynes
Ascendant Recruitment are working with a prestigious charity with offices in Milton Keynes. As the Payroll officer, you will report into the HR Business Partner and be ultimately responsible processing all payrolls on a monthly basis, ensuring statutory and company reporting requirements are met.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Responsibility for the payroll process for the UK from start to finish, including reconciliations for HMRC, preparing reconciliations and all associated HMRC paperwork
Manage payments for court orders, Union, and CSA's
Prepare end of year returns for HMRC
Manage deductions for childcare vouchers
Process all aspects of benefit schemes
Administer the pension scheme and undertake any compensation benefits projects.We are looking for someone with:
An understanding of UK payroll legislation and good working knowledge of 'best practices'
Ability to work with confidentiality and knowledge of GDPR
Excellent communication skills with a highly engaging and collaborative working style.
Self-motivation and be an enthusiastic individual
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Sage experience advantageous
