Finance Analyst (Projects) - up to £35,000 - Birmingham


Sheridan Maine are working exclusively with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Birmingham area actively looking to recruit for an experienced Finance Analyst with strong projects exposure.

The Role

As the Part-qualified accountant you will have strong experience within an analytical side of finance, you will be reporting directly to the FP&A Manager with reports on costing and providing regular updates on projects.

Duties


  • Responsible to managing the end to end process of projects from start to finish
  • Liasing heavily with the FP&A Manager with tracking of orders and forecasting while integrating all stages of project reporting into the ERP system
  • Support the sales teams to create tender approval estimates such as preparing financial data
  • Reporting on profit margins and cash while also flagging where projects are over or under budget
  • Execute cost to completion including financial forecasting consisting of invoicing, revenues and gross margins
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Confident to challenge current processes and decision making with evidence


Person specification

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Experience and interest in business partnering and analytical tools
  • Hands on, proactive and dynamic individual who has the ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced Excel
