More scale and better product ranges give Nisa partners a real competitive advantage, and now we're looking for trading finance business partner to provide strategic financial support to our senior leaders in the trading team.As a trading finance business partner, we'll look to you to partner and work closely with the heads of category in our trading team to identify ways in which we can optimise the performance of each category. You'll provide insight to drive strategic decision making and support the implementation of ambitious transformation projects. If you can bring us the solid financial knowledge and phenomenal people skills that we need, we can offer you the chance to build a career with a rapid growing business.What you'll do* business partner with the heads of category to make sure they deliver according to sales and margin plans
* analyse weekly and periodic performance data and provide high quality and impactful analysis and insight to help the trading team to make smarter, profit-maximising decisions
* support the delivery of key change projects around price optimisation, range rationalisation and category profitability
* support the implementation of a new cost-to-serve tool and using profit by store keeping unit (SKU) information to drive value-adding decisions
* support category planning and forecasting processes
* manage category risks and opportunities
* make sure that our ways of working are aligned to one buyer model principlesThis role would suit people who have* an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.) and proven commercial experience
* significant experience partnering with senior leaders on a strategic level
* experience designing, building and maintaining complex financial models
* excellent communication and presentation skills
* a talent for building positive relationships with partners across the business, challenging and influencing when necessary
* an analytical approach
* advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macros and advanced formulas and functions)
* a solid understanding of BI systems, able to interpret data and draw conclusions
* some knowledge of Access would be highly beneficial too, but not essentialThe Co-op resourcing team supports Nisa recruitment as part of our ongoing partnership.
