Your role:

We are looking for a motivated person to join us in our London office as a Junior Accountant with the following

responsibilities:


• project managing new company initiatives in respect of funding, portfolio management and market opportunities;


• assisting in month end closing, VAT returns and R&D Tax projects and process/analyse Accounts Receivable/Payable Invoice of foreign and local entities;


• carry out cost bookings of loans and carrying out month end reconciliation of some key balance sheet accounts;


• be responsible for carry out bank reconciliation of multiple local and foreign bank accounts;


• interact with the case managers and loan underwriters to resolve any discrepancies or exceptions;


• escalate ongoing discrepancies or exceptions to management;


• investigating and resolving exceptions between internal records;


• assist Group Accountant with Year End Audit and Accounts/Tax filing for UK and European entities; and


• work with the Group Accountant on Financial/management reporting, cashflow analysis and ad hoc finance exercises/projects.

About you:


• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field with not less than a 2:1 or equivalent.


• At least 1 year of relevant practical accounting experience in an accountancy role (or any aggregate of roles not less than 6 months each) with double entry knowledge.


• An ability to work quickly and accurately during month ends and deadlines.


• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.


• Detailed oriented who will be able to progress and move into a senior accountant role.


• An excellent communicator; fluent in English at a native proficiency or not less than 7.5 IELTS or equivalent; other language skills (preferably Spanish, German, French and Dutch) are a plus.


• Proficient in MS Office, productivity IT tools and accounting system like Xero.


• Ambitious and able to critically analyse a large quantity of information.


• Able to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.


• Problem solver and with a can-do attitude, excellent organisational skills and a team player.


• Hungry to learn and push your boundaries in a growing company both in terms of engaging with the training provided as well as self-learning and enjoying an international environment.


• Eligible to work in the UK and able to work out of our London office.
