Accountancy Recruit are proud to be currently recruiting for a world leading FMCG business, that are looking to appoint a Financial Analyst/Accountant for the European Region. This is an ambitious company, that due to a recent acquisition is experiencing growth and positive change. The job is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk at the head office for the UK operation and will involve travel to Europe (when permitted).

You will be Fully Qualified or studying towards completion of professional qualifications. This job will provide an opportunity to grow and develop professionally, whilst working closely and being part of the Group Consolidation & Reporting Team. There is an emphasis to build solid professional working relationships with the site Accountants at a variety of different sites, so you will need to be confident and technically strong to analyse, investigate discrepancies and provide effective solutions to achieve reporting deadlines.

Job Description

• Provide financial reports to the European Leadership Team
• Manage global costs that require the correct allocation, ensuring tax compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate production of consolidated financial reports for the European Region
• Summarise, analyse and provide commentary for leadership review
• Create a mechanism for capturing costs from individual entities that relate to multi-locational services
• Create framework from which these global costs can be recharged ensuring tax compliance
• Ensure all entities reflect their allocated costs in their budgets, forecasts and cash management
• Constantly review processes and procedures
• Ad hoc financial analyses
• Contribute to Group financial process improvement

The successful Applicant

• Part or Fully Qualified: ACA, ACCA, ACMA
• Background in FMCG or Manufacturing
• JD Edwards and Cognos experience would be an advantage
• Advanced Excel & Powerpoint
