NXTGEN have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a market leading employer of choice based near Diss. This progressive and developmental role will see the successful candidate work closely within their high performing Tax team. As Assistant Accountant you will support the Senior Tax Manager with preparing tax returns, VAT returns and assist with various projects within the department. It is expected that you play an active role within the team and take ownership for your own work.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

- Support the preparation of Tax & VAT returns
- Calculate quarterly tax installments sufficiently

- Support and play a key part in various Tax projects
- Support with Ad hoc duties when needed

The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards a recognised Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ATT or equivalent) with study support available. Those that are AAT qualified and have experience with Tax and are wanting to study ACCA/ATT are also encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to have had some experience working within Tax environment and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge with HMRC and Tax legislation are advantageous.
