The Company:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser/Production Assistant to join an established supplier of ladies apparel. You will be managing the critical path from start to finish and looking after large National Retailer accounts, ensuring that customers are well-looked after from product development to the end production meeting Buyers and assisting with the selection process. The Role:

• Responsible for the management of Retail customer accounts, ensuring that the production / merchandising function is effectively controlled within the agreed business strategy.
• Responsible for leading their team to drive effective performance management, identify customer requirements whilst ensuring targets and margin is achieved.
• Conducting critical path analysis to provide insights and reports for internal meetings.
• Supplying the Account Manager with the accurate data and offering solutions to enable informed decisions and planning.
• Checking all details on the customer's contract/manual and passing on all relevant details to the supplier to ensure all stock delivered is compliant.
• Updating and meticulously monitoring the critical path to identify any potential for slippage.
• Proactively identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems/ delays as they arise to minimize the risk off cancellation or debits.
• Responsible for the co-ordination of all critical path milestones to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Raising, managing and tracking purchase orders, amending where necessary.
• Create and managing the Critical Path to ensure agreed delivery dates are maintained.
• Liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis, ensuring samples, lab dips etc. are received according to CP.
• Managing High street accounts and building strong relationships with retail customers and suppliers.
• Collating and organising orders per supplier to ensure best price negotiation whilst protecting delivery dates.
• Co-ordinating trims; materials and garments for CMT, ensuring suppliers have clear instructions and have all components to complete orders on time.
• Managing 'goods in' related to orders, keeping warehousing updated. Managing logistics between factories.
• Liaising with accounts team to ensure all invoice/delivery notes are efficiency processed in line with deadlines.
• Issuing purchase orders on the company system, ERP.
• Ensuring all company and customer systems are kept updated and communicate changes to the critical path.

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience of a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Communicates effectively and confidently at all levels promoting a positive, can-do and professional attitude at all times.
• Demonstrates strong eye for detail, methodical approach and data accuracy.
• Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills and computer literate.
• MUST have managed the critical path.
• Ideally have worked with retail customers in the past.
• Knowledge of garment construction for production.
• Experience of ERP database or similar systems would be advantageous.
