Maximus UK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maximus, Inc., operates several business lines in the UK, including the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments, Remploy, Health Management, Maximus People Services and Revitalised. Maximus employs 4,000 local staff, including over 1,400 doctors, nurses, occupational therapists and other Healthcare Professionals. Operating from more than 270 locations in the UK, Maximus is one of the largest providers of employment, health and disability support programmes in the country.


Job Summary

This role acts as pricing lead for contract bids in existing and strategic new markets for Maximus UK. Particular focus is on large government outsourcing contracts in the employment, health and justice sectors.

Full responsibility for bid pricing construction, working closely with business development and operational teams to create and challenge commercial proposition. Adds real value to deal pricing through commercial and financial insight. Ownership of internal approval process and client presentation submission / dialogue.

This role would suit someone with experience of the outsourced business services sector but all relevant experience will be considered.


Non-London (37.5hrs): £52,000-£57,000

London (37.5hrs) : £61,000 - £67,000


Home based working considered.


Key Tasks


• Develop and maintain flexible Excel models and templates to support the pricing of complex outsourcing deals


• Work with operational and BD teams to develop robust assumption sets for each deal. Constructively challenge operational assumptions where appropriate to improve the quality of the assumption set


• Produce insightful analysis and slide decks to support the internal deal governance sign off process. Develop sensitivity and risk analysis plus deal KPI's


• Present deal economics and pricing to a broad range of internal stakeholders including UK and US executives (CEO, CFO)


• Work with BD leads to produce price benchmarking analysis on larger deals to ensure our pricing is market competitive


• Bring commercial acumen and insight to the pricing activity. Provide commercial input beyond pure price - deal structure, SLA's, contractual terms etc.


• Work with the bid team to ensure that pricing tender submissions are high quality


• Partner with the BD and Operational teams on commercial negotiations


• Present Maximus pricing offer to client stakeholders / commissioners in a clear and compelling manner.


• Work with UK / Corporate finance on technical aspects of the pricing model - revenue recognition, GAAP accounting.


Experience Required

Qualifications and/or Experience


• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification


• Excellent business modelling experience


• Highly proficient in MS Office applications with an advanced knowledge of Excel
