The Opportunity:

NCC Group is always looking for amazing people to join our team. Currently, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Management Accountant who will be responsible for preparing and reporting the monthly management accounts of the UK Escrow business, a core division of the Group with £25m annual revenue.

You will need to demonstrate excellent commercial awareness alongside strong financial management and great interpersonal skills in order to work with the Escrow senior team to improve the financial performance of their division.

Providing key support to the Escrow Finance Director, you will be required to provide insightful analysis on both key KPIs and financial performance, provide governance controls and update/amend systems. You will provide support in key management meetings, have an input into the financial decision making and provide financial training to key stakeholders outside the finance function.

You will be responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to the senior leadership team, and to assist you in achieving that you will also have responsibility for one part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant.

Additional responsibilities include the preparation of monthly business forecasts and working with the senior team to deliver the annual UK budget. You can also expect to be involved in areas such as process re-design across both the operational and financial functions.


The Challenge:

  • Monthly management accounts for the UK Escrow business, including, income statement, working capital, capital expenditure, KPIs and commentary on performance and explanation of variances
  • Preparation of the monthly Directors' Review Pack
  • Co-ordination and preparation of the business forecasts
  • Review, control and management of working capital
  • Preparation of the UK Escrow budget
  • Calculation of the Escrow sales commissions for approval
  • Commercial accounts support to the senior management and sales teams
  • Systems and process projects to deliver improved business efficiency
  • Responsible for adhering to all internal policy and procedures and to ensure robust financial controls

Here are some key skills and experience to date that we are looking for...

  • Fully qualified accountant with industry experience
  • Previous experience of preparing management accounts using an ERP accounts system
  • Knowledge of technical accounting standards and financial controls
  • High IT literacy in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Word
  • Experience with Workday would be advantageous
