This is a newly created role within our transforming finance organisation. This role reports to the Head of Corporate Finance. The corporate finance team has a remit for external reporting, tax & treasury within the wider finance function. The organisation is going through global transformation on many levels as we define global operating models for many functions. To this end there are many decisions to be made especially regarding corporate structure and tax planning. We need someone who will to support this decision processes with data analysis required


Key Duties & Responsibilities


  • This role will support the tax, treasury and team with financial modelling for decision making in areas of tax planning and corporate restructuring.
  • Responsible for building financial models from scratch including 3- statement model and discounted cash flow and scenario analysis
  • Expected to lead the charge for data driven business decisions
  • This will be a varied to role with a portfolio of projects to manage
  • Ad hoc analysis as required to support


Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), minimum 2 years PQE
  • Microsoft Excel - Advanced. Good working knowledge of relational databases e.g Cognos, Oracle EPM
  • Significant experience in financial modelling
  • Ability to explain complex financials to a range of stakeholders particularly senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication and influencing skills
  • Exposure to taxation and transfer pricing desirable
  • Have a 'hands on' approach, visible across the business with good communication and other interpersonal skills. Media or publishing industry experience required
