Risk and Regulatory Consultants - Various Levels according to experience

Location: Belfast, Country Antrim
Salary: £28-£45k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Perm, Full Time
Hours: 40hrs/week.


Must be available to work in Northern Ireland within a 4 to 6-week period.

About the Role:

The main purpose of the role is to support the provision of regulatory consultancy to our client base.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Provide advice and guidance internally and externally regarding regulatory change
  • Develop and deliver packaged consultancy to enable our clients to meet regulatory requirements;
  • Contribute to and share responsibility for the regulatory training plan
  • Provide expertise to relevant projects and other activity.
  • Provides timely, effective and insightful information and reporting on regulatory changes and themes.

  • Initiative/independence - to take ownership and responsibility for duties, and use initiative to identify solutions to issues

Experience and skills:

Strong experience in the provision of compliance, with a particular focus on Funds.

Strong understanding of FCA regulations and associated EU Directives as they apply to an investment firm.

Excellent communication skills and an ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise and effective manner.

  • Significant experience in a senior role within regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the UK and EU regulatory framework
  • In-depth understanding of the technicalities of regulatory risk, specifically horizon scanning and policy development.
  • Good experience of the regulatory environment within financial services sector and ideally in the asset management sector
  • Relevant professional qualifications
  • Degree level education or equivalent industry experience, ideally supported by relevant industry qualifications.

Essential:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline, min 2:1
  • Background in a legal, finance, or business analyst role
  • Great communication skills and flawless written English
  • Critical thinker with solid analytical problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Regulatory experience in financial services industry (shareholding disclosure requirements; UCITS, AIFMD;
  • Relationship management experience
  • ACA qualified or similar qualification
