This organisation are now looking to hire a Head of Commercial Finance who has the ability to step into a Commercial Finance Director role, ideally within an 18month time period.

This business is one of the strongest brands in the world, they are a true market leader and have an exceptional track record in supporting their staff, attracting talent and delivering results.

They have a very diverse business offering and a multi-billion turn over revenue stream.

This position is reporting directly into the Commercial Finance Director, and is offering a chance to be involved in a unique and very exciting commercial role.

This is essentially a very high-profile visible position and will give someone the chance to stamp their mark on the complete commercial finance delivery.

This is one of the most commercially focused and exciting roles being recruited in the South East, it would ideally suit someone who wanted to take what they have learnt and now apply it to a more varied and autonomous role.

If you have aspirations to become a commercial CFO then this could be a brilliant move.

To be considered you must be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have an exceptional academic background.

Experience gained in commercial finance, strategy and FP&A is critical. Sector experience isn't essential but any exposure to working in a very consumer and marketing led world would help.

The Role

• Be a true innovator and commercial leader - how do we make things better?
• How do we take things to places they have never been before?
• An ideal generator.
• Lead and manage a team of 5 analysts.
• Support the board on the strategic direction and growth of the business.
• Take a blank piece of paper and go and add some value!
• Look at short- and long-term commercial milestones, including cost control, ad hoc investment analysis, understanding operational variances
• Leading the planning process (budgets, forecasts) for the company, including preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow forecasts, and preparation of funding proposal documents ahead of each internal funding round.
• Providing financial management information to business management, whether via standard reports directly out of the ERP, or specific analysis
• Lead all business case analysis on product performance.
• Continue to drive an exceptional business partnering finance culture.
• Support the CFO on all commercial ad hoc projects.
• Deal with, and present business cases to internal and external stake holders.

Your Profile

The successful Head of Commercial Finance is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a strong academic background, coupled with a background in commercial finance.

If you have worked in pure commercial finance, operations or strategy then it would really help.

We are ideally looking for someone super talented from a blue-chip business, someone who has had a very stable career and has demonstrated exceptional progression!

This is very much a fast track role working with a great team, so the successful candidate is likely to have a strong confident personality coupled with a strong business partnering background.

Coming from an audit grounding would help but is by no means essential.

Career wise it could be incredible.
