Our growing Finance Team are looking for their next Management accountant - UK Retail division
Position. You will be joining a sub-team of 3 focusing on property related costs, as part of the wider UK retail management accounts team.
Job role includes, but not limited to:
Responsible for all property cost centre nominals
- Reconciliation of all property balance sheet codes
- Management and calculation of all related accruals, driving accuracy & efficiencies where possible.
- Quarterly overhead budgeting using relevant cost KPI's
- Ownership/presentation of monthly finance reports to direct line manager, and senior finance as required.
- Manage the preparation of group global lease data for input into bi-annual IFRS16 calculations.
Business partnering with UK property dept.
- Build relationships with property dept. and act as finance contact for finance queries.
- Review draft new lease documentation and advise from a finance background.
- Review / support in the maintenance & renewal of group contracts e.g. utilities/service providers.
- Help to support maintenance of property dept database, through reconciliation of multiple data sources, and communicating variances back to property dept for review and database corrections.
Audit / Year end
- Support group & statutory audit with all property related data / audit requests.
- Manage the audit of c.100 property holding entity audits, acting as the key contact with specialist audit firm.
Other:
- Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns
- Fully support junior members of the team to ensure efficiencies.
- Ad-hoc support to wider UK finance team as required.
Criteria:
Part qualified ACCA/CIMA (ideally exam finalist).
2/3 year's experience working in a finance team.
Excellent IT system skills, in particular MS Excel
