The Position:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager will lead our finance team of 5+ members primarily in our UK retail division. This position is a work from anywhere (remote), with preference to a UK based finance professional. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual that has 5+ years of previous experience in a management position within a finance team. They will help improve and create functional processes. They will manage the end-to-end finance functions and support the growth of the team as the business expands.

About You:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards IFRS, willing to roll sleeves and oversee day to day financial operational management
• Excellent understanding of UK based payroll and Accounting practices
• Good experience with product cost modeling, inventory valuation and cost of goods sold accounting in retail industry
• Provide effective, timely financial analysis and insight into the operational activities of the business including leading on budgets and forecasting
• Strong business acumen to influence and contribute to decision making and business planning throughout the organisation
• Responsible for accurate and timely period end reporting package that includes financial operating statements, comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), analysis of key business trends with comprehensive executive level explanations as well as balance sheet accounts reconciliation
• Partner with team across the business to proactively look to improve operations, drive process efficiency and policies to improve alignment with business plan
• Support the Director of Finance with external stakeholders such as banks, insurers, auditors
• Actively be involved in the financial aspects of key projects undertaken by the organisation
• Hands on role where you'll review and implement new processes and controls to promote efficiency
• An active and contributory member of senior leadership meetings
• Proven experience in system's implementation

What you offer:

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Fully qualified Accountant will be an asset Ideally with experience in retail (ACCA)
• Advanced IT skills - excellent user of MS Excel and Google Apps, SQL and power query will be an asset
• In-depth experience of financial modelling and costing in retail
• Proven experience in financial processing and systems, design and implementation
• Highly numerate with experience of managing budgets and interpreting financial information
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into analysis/information which enable business understanding and informed decision making
• Demonstrable significant experience of working at senior level contributing and leading on strategic planning
• Experience of successful delivery by leading and developing a Finance team
• Excellent written skills, administrative, organisational and project management skills
• Ability to effectively self-manage workload and meet set deadlines
