FP&A Analyst

Compusoft is a dynamic, international, fast-growing software company, backed by the US growth private equity firm TA Associates. We have a consistent track-record of strong organic growth, combined with regular acquisitions.


We are looking for exceptional talent that will use a data orientated approach to identify, create and lead analysis. They will drive growth at the top line, bottom line and on non-financial metrics such as NPS.


They will be able to build a persuasive narrative through scaleable excel modelling and concise presentation (ppt / speech).


The ideal candidate will match commercial awareness with financial rigor.


Position

Reporting to the FP&A Lead, the FP&A Analyst will provide data-driven and analytical insights to support key strategic and operational decisions.


The candiate will need to be able to take on business parterning, monthly reporting, forecasting and support corporate finance activities.


This role provides significant growth opportunities for the right candidate as it offers the depth and breadth of both multi-geography and multi-business line exposure in a fast growing, dynamic, and acquisitive software business.


Position

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators (KPI's).
  • Identify and illustrate areas of growth with hands on data management and analysis.
  • Providing actionable insights to group and country management teams.
  • Drive material improvement in management information including the monthly reporting pack.
  • Support the budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
  • Assist on strategic projects and decision support, including the development of financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse complex financial data and reports to provide accurate financial recommendations to the senior management team.
  • Successfully on-board newly acquired businesses on to FP&A reporting platform.
  • Work with newly aquied businesses to realises synergies and growth opportunities.
  • Develop relationships/collaborate with operational teams to provide business insight and/or solutions.
  • Prepare presentations for the Board of Directors and the Senior Management Team.
  • Work with systems team to drive automation, dynamic BI and data visualisation.
  • Contribute to ERP implementation process and CRM reporting enhancement.


Required skills and experience:

  • Ability to think laterally and problem solve, providing scaleable solutions.
  • Ability to engage senior management in a credible fashion using data, analysis and insight.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with wider team members in a hands-on environment.
  • Experienced user of PowerPoint and Excel with advanced data interrogation techniques.
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in planning and analysis, and/or Transaction Services or Modelling team and/or other have had exposure to a commercial analytical environment.
  • Candidate will ideally have 2 - 5 years' experience in a top professional services firm or gained c. 2 - 4 years' execution / FP&A experience with exposure to sales / commercial analysis in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrable financial analysis / modelling expereience.
  • Developed accounting knowledge.
  • To be successful, a proactive, can-do attitude will be important.
  • Previous exposure to Saleforce or similar CRM system is desirable.
  • Previous exposure to BI / data visualisation applications desirable.
  • Interest in technology and automating manual processes, and explor digitalisation and automation in finance.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or someone from a consulting background is desirable.
  • Previous software industry experience advantageous but not required.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Right to work in the UK.
