Position: A ccount Receivable Collection Specialist

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager who will report to the Global Accounts Receivable Manager. This individual will be responsible for analysing and improving the collections process, managing our new team of collections analysts based on Kuala Lumpur, and overseeing key related activities. These activities include building meaningful relationships with our customers to enhance recovery, providing feedback to Accounts Receivable Collection Analysts, developing metrics to report to Global Accounts Receivable Manager and implementing process improvements.

Job Duties

Tasks and responsibilities of this role:
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging within agreed and accepted parameters.
  • Interact with customers, internal sales support, and other internal teams in reconciling accounts
  • Review client accounts on an ongoing basis to assess collectability of receivables
  • Prepare recommendations for credit approval decisions on accounts. Provide support to credit analyst as needed.
  • Monitor and communicate credit concerns to management
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable Collections Analyst interaction with customers, sales representatives and sales management
  • Train and mentor Accounts Receivable Collections Analysts on customer interaction, product knowledge, and customer service
  • Manage the performance of Accounts Receivable Collections Analysts and provide timely feedback

  • Job Requirements
  • At least 6 years of Accounts Receivable and Cash Collection experience
  • At least 2 years experience managing a team, preferably an Accounts Receivable and Cash Collection team
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, positive and pro-active work attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with ERP system, ideally Oracle and D365
  • Good communications skills both Email and over the phone, and on all levels including senior management
  • Must be fluent in English, other language a plus
