CITICiti Private Bank Global Capital Markets Risk Analyst - VPCompetitive Salary OfferedStart Date: 11/08/20Closing Date: 09/09/20The Citi Private Bank Global Capital Markets Risk Analyst - VP is a mid level professional role which applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual. Oversee risks taken in connection with Citi Private Bank Capital Markets activities which includes extension of credit that are secured by marketable securities and as well as other collateral.

Responsibilities:
Provide financial analysis, risk assessment and analytical support for specific accounts and projects across CPB Global Capital Markets Risk. Analyze/assess complex Private Bank clients and special purpose entities for trading lines and capital markets products, recommend risk mitigation strategies for approval to senior risk managers.Manage risk exposures in assigned portfolioCover various relationships within CPB Global Capital Markets Risk such as Standard CPB clients and Markets Direct Access clients in EMEA.Utilize complex and diverse knowledge and understanding of credit and risks across various products and an opportunity to develop skills in credit analysis, structuring, and the ability to identify, quantify risk and conceptualize risk mitigation solutions.Prepare periodic quarterly, semi-annual, and annual portfolio reviews of existing clients, including in-depth analysis of financials, capital structure/liquidity analysis, stress tests, and collateral valuation.Work directly with senior risk and business colleagues to generate meaningful and detailed credit reviews.Maintains sound understanding about different markets, products, strategies, tools and associated risks.Identifies reputation risk and its cause/effects.Work with Risk Managers with the preparation of portfolio risk analysis, ad-hoc regulatory requirement needs, and other ad-hoc assignments.Participate in transactions (upon further progression in the analyst role). Analysts may also have the opportunity to participate alongside Risk Managers on internal discussions regarding credit agreement negotiations.Identify and analyze situations that create risk and legal liability for Citi.Knowledgeable about risk systems infrastructure including key processes, coverage and data flows in order to identify risk effectively.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:Relevant years of previous experience in risk, or business, or support rolePrevious experience with Capital Markets products and risksExperience in counterparty credit analysis or private bankingUnderstanding of financial analysis and ability to navigate and understand financial statementsAdvanced excel and power point skills preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel as well as database management experience.
