POSITION: Accounts Assistant



SALARY:
£18,000 - £21,000

DESCRIPTION:

Our client, Northland Controls, is the security industry's premier program management firm. The company's purpose is to help leading global enterprises be more secure. The company help customers establish security standards, implement global project controls and plans, generate construction drawings, install, configure and commission systems. The company repair and maintain enterprise access control, video and intrusion systems. Northland Controls also host physical security systems and provide complete monitoring and dispatch services from our world-class Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC) for those companies who prefer to outsource this function.

Due to continued success the company is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will be confident, positive and able to live by the company's five core values:

Responsibilities

Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
Ensure all authorised supplier invoices and credit notes are coded appropriately and entered on to purchase ledger on a daily basis
Reconcile supplier statements as received, notifying any discrepancies to suppliers on a timely basis
Set up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
Address and respond to vendor inquiries
Update the Service tool in an efficient and accurate manner
Assist with bespoke Accounts related projects
Maintain our new AP Software - SAP Concur
Other Duties

Assist with accounts payable automation process - journal entry
Ensure the culture and core values of the company are developed, promoted, and maintained throughout the company at all times
Ensure effective communication between internal and external stakeholders
Establish and maintain metrics to enable continuous improvements and efficiency gains
Attend meetings as required, representing the company in an effective and professional manner
Take part and sometimes lead initiatives that will enhance company performance
Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require
Requirements

Strong invoicing or finance experience - minimum one year
Must be used to working to and achieving tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to work from own initiative whilst still proactively supporting a team effort
Discretion and confidentiality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of Excel
Motivated, highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Live within a commutable distance
