This role will be key to providing clear and concise performance reporting that informs decision making. The role will sit in the FP&A team and report to the Head of FP&A UK&I region. The FP&A team is a high profile and high performing team with good exposure to senior stakeholders within the organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders as well as guiding colleagues in the offshore finance function. Being able to "cut through the noise" and explain the underlying levers that drive business performance will be key. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn all aspects of monthly management reporting, short term financial forecasting and cashflow forecastingProduce best in class monthly management packs for the UK Leadership team and the pladis Group Finance functionLead the in month financial outlook process and help the organisation navigate the best path to achieve its ambitions Manage cashflow forecasting for the UK&I region being clear on drivers versus budget and prior yearPartner with the wider finance function to improve existing business processes and implement new business processesSupervise and support the offshore team, including development and training Ensure compliance with statutory and group accounting procedures, highlighting areas of concern as appropriate and taking corrective actionAct as a key point of contact for internal and external auditorsSupport the Head of FP&A, Group Finance and other members of the organisation with ad hoc requestsDeputise as required for the Head of FP&AEssential Experience, Skills & QualificationsQualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)4+years PQE in either practice or industryExperience working with ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, etc.)Excellent analytical skills to provide robust and insightful financial analysisExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Ability to multi task and effectively prioritiseAbility to plan effectively and work to deadlines under own initiativeDesirable Experience, Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in an FMCG/consumer organisationPrevious experience working in an FP&A functionPrevious experience working with HyperionREQUIRED BEHAVIOURSKnown for bringing a different perspective and showing initiativeUnrelenting drive to get things right first timeThe desire to challenge the status quopladis is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to hiring a diverse workforce.
