The Role

As an Accounts Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our clients financial processes. Some of the key responsibilities include ensuring all invoices are recorded and allocated accurately, ensuring payments are made on time and answering suppliers' queries effectively. The role will include scope to assist with other accounting tasks and a chance to shape processes and procedures in this fast-growing company.

* Ensure all invoices are allocated to the correct project and cost codes

* Booking details in Sage

* Other adhoc finance tasks as required

* Reviewing accuracy of expense postings

* Using Sage to book purchase invoices

* Monitoring the shared accounts inbox and replying to supplier queries

* Managing the invoice approval process

* Maintaining supplier accounts, ensuring information is up to date and that balances agree to supplier statements

* Ensuring approvals are received in a timely manner and invoices are paid as they fall due

* Ensuring all subcontractor payment certificates are compliant with company policy

* Assist the introduction of the new finance system and impact processes across the business

* Recording payments in Sage

* Completing bank and credit card reconciliations

* Other adhoc finance tasks as required
