Our client is an independent firm of accountants who are focused on giving their clients an excpetional service and growing with them. Working from a regional network of offices, their ethos is all about not being the biggest but striving to be the best. Senior management take a light touch approach in order to provide room to grow but are supportive when required and are always on hand to offer advice.

Although this is an independent firm, the partners all come from Top 10 backgrounds and have fantastic networks and technical knowledge meaning this is an environment where you will continue to grow and develop as well as have plenty of access to clients and partners.

Description:

Joining as Audit Manager, you will be responsible for managing, controlling and conducting the audit fieldwork for a diverse range of allowing you to develop strong relationships with those clients. Because of the size of the firm, you will not be pigeonholed into audit so there is potential for involvement in other client projects which will allow you to develop new skills.

Because of the way the firm develops its people, you will not be expected to want to pursue a partnership but, should you wish it, the firms leadership will assist you in growing towards this.

Profile:

  • A graduate, ACA / ACCA qualified, with a high level of experience of managing audits, within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong client facing experience with the ability to plan and budget for audits independently as well manage resources and staffing requirements
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • A demonstrable background with a small, medium or large independent accounting firm or a larger Top 50 / Top Tier firm is also acceptable
