A newly created role in a fast paced, successful manufacturing organisation for a commercial and ambitious accountant. This role will introduce a new team member to an existing finance department; you will need to have a wealth of accounting experience and real expertise in the area of reconciliation; in terms of the ledgers, bank and stock!

You will be gathering data from finance and operations teams using a range of reporting lines and methods; you will need to be able to manipulate and present this data in a commercial manner (so excel is non negotiable.... you must be an expert!) to site accountants and other department heads. You will need a great understanding of the nominal ledger and have proven experience of balance sheet and P&L work.....ideally from a manufacturing background; yield, costing, wastage/spoilage..... all of these things are components of the bottom line so if you can demonstrate a working knowledge of this, you are ahead of the curve. I am ideally looking for an accountant with experience of the manufacturing industry, but a practice or alternative industry candidate with good management accounting experience may bring something unique to the table as well. Whatever your industry background, a good understanding of accountancy is essential and this will need to be backed up with a couple of years in employment. ACCA or CIMA study would be beneficial..... QBE candidates with relevant experience; I'd really like to hear from you as well!
