Our client is a growing firm of accountants with a niche focus.
They now have an exciting opportunity for someone who has proven experience of bookkeeping to join their small and friendly team.
Whilst the preference is for this role to be fulfilled on a full-time basis, 4 days a week is also viable.
The role will be varied and you will have your own portfolio of clients for whom you will perform a variety of bookkeeping duties including;
Tracking financial transactions for a number of different clients, ensuring postings are accurate and entries can be explained.
Reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions.
Preparation of VAT returns.
Assist with other bookkeeping duties.
Develop working relationships with clients
Use excellent written and oral communication
General administration tasks
Covering for holiday and absence in payroll (training will be given if you do not have payroll)
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified and will have proven experience working in practice, however, people with strong bookkeeping experience in the commercial sector will also be considered.
Experience working with Xero or other cloud based accounting systems would be a distinct advantage.
As you will be working directly with clients, you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to speak in plain term to people who are not accountancy trained.
Ideally this role will be working in the office in the initial term of your employment, but once up to speed you will have the opportunity to work both remotely and with the team.
Interviews will be taking place 22nd September so send your CV for immediate consideration.
