An opportunity has arisen for a Finance manager to join a listed building and construction firm in central London.
Client Details
My client is a leading property/construction business within the UK. They are listed on the London stock exchange and headquartered in central London.
Description
The purpose of this Finance Manager role is to lead the finance team for a key business unit, partnering with the Managing Director and leadership team to positively contribute to the growth of the unit.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the annual business planning process and wider 3-year strategic plan including:
· Preparation and analysis of business forecasts and projections
· Business partner the MD in decision making and implementation of the strategic goals of the business
· Performing competitor/market analysis
· Building finance models to support bids/tender process and provide project profitability analysis
· Work with the business to improve working capital management
· Responsible for the delivery of timely Board reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
· Attend monthly leadership meetings ensuring that the status and profitability of all projects is accurately reflected in the management Accounts
· Work closely with wider finance team to ensure smooth reporting for month end and statutory deadlines.
Profile
The successful Finance Manager will have the following credentials:
· Professional finance qualification - qualified accountant (ACA /ACCA/CIMA) with ~3-5 years PQE
· Management Accounting experience
· Experience within the property/real-estate/construction sector desirable
· Commercial mindset with the ability to understand the business and assist in implementing the strategic goals of the business
· Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills ideally with some line management experience
· Able to build effective business relationships at all levels and used to working in a matrix organisation
· Ability to work within a fast paced, challenging environment
· Strong excel skills
Job Offer
Basic salary of between £70,000 to £75,000 + benefits package & excellent career progression potential
