Credit Risk Analyst
Location:
Croydon (with flexible working)
Salary:
£36,500 to £41,300 per annum
Position Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Closing Date: Monday 14 September 2020
Our client is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract to join the team within an exciting and diverse role that puts you at the heart of their financial risk management.
The position will be responsible for analysing and monitoring insolvency risk and the pension deficits of the 500 largest defined benefit pension schemes that they protect (including specific industry insights), informing senior management's understanding of their financial and operational risks..
You will report on these schemes each month via the Credit Risk Group and present your findings to senior business stakeholders on a quarterly basis. The role includes running a credit scoring model and you will need to conduct credit analysis on a subset of DB scheme sponsors identified as representing the greatest risk to the Company..
Their ideal applicant will be a graduate with a financial and/or quantitative discipline. If you have previous Credit Risk experience it would be seen favourably. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and also be able to plan work and deal with conflicting priorities. Strong Excel skills is a must for this position; if you have SQL or modelling skills that would be great but it is not essential.
As with any fixed term contract, there is always the possibility of the role being extended or even made permanent.
