Job Details

Interested in a career in finance but don’t know where to start?  Do you have a degree in any discipline but dream of becoming an accountant?  Numbers, data and analytics your thing?

If you’ve answered, yes to all of the above, we have the perfect graduate programme for you.

If you’re looking to become a CIMA qualified Accountancy Professional within an organisation with CIMA Premier Partnership to deliver continued professional development internally, then read on.

As an award-winning, top ten global logistics company with hundreds of sites across the UK alone. We span 32 countries and employ thousands of colleagues worldwide. Our customers are ASOS, M&S, Iceland, Tesco's, Missguided and B&Q to name just a few so there are plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and opportunities for progression.

Our Finance Graduate Programme is a structured four-year programme, broken down into 12-month placements across the business.  During this time, you will be studying towards your CIMA qualification so by the end of the programme you will be fully qualified Chartered Accountant.

Your first year could be spent working with our central finance team at our Head Office in Northampton, gaining insight to a range of departments such as credit control, treasury and shared service centre.

Years 2 & 3 could be spent in the warehouse gaining operational experience with a couple of our contracts, working with site-based finance teams supporting some of our largest business units. Getting involved in anything from the production of weekly reports for the customer to helping with the budget and forecasting process, giving you a well-rounded view of everything finance!

Finally, you could have the opportunity to spend your time within the FMS - this is our central team that produces financial information for a range of closed book accounts.

XPO Logistics will give you the tools to develop your career. You will be given financial responsibility from day one along with an amazing support network of colleagues and Senior Financial Controllers. Your salary will start at £25,000 per annum and will rise to a guaranteed £27,000 per annum after successful completion of year one. Following the first two years on the programme, we will review your progress and look to offer you further salary increments in line with your role and performance - both in the workplace and in gaining your professional qualification.

On top of that, we pay and cover your accommodation costs for your first two weeks of each placement whilst you find your feet. Our graduate team are always on hand to offer advice through regular one-to-ones and graduate webinars. The team ensure you are getting the most out of all your placements while guiding you through your XPO journey.

You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts including PureGym, Apple, Superdry, Pizza Hut, discounted cinema tickets and many more!

Lucky for you we offer the programme to those with a degree in any discipline. We’re a people business so we are looking for graduates with drive, resilience and the determination to become future leaders in our business.  We just ask that you are mobile and can move around the UK with our support and have the desire to succeed.

So what’s not to love? If you’re looking for a career (and not just a job) which will challenge you but also reward you, why wait?

Click to apply now! Applications close on Friday 25th September 2020.
