Finance Director Based in Stoke on Trent Salary DOE + bonus + car allowance + other benefits

Your new company
Your new company are a fantastic business who are a leader in their field, based in Stoke on Trent and are looking to appoint a Finance Director on a permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be accountable for ensuring the group reporting requirements are delivered along with local management information to support decision making. And you will also provide key accountability for financial leadership to the business ensuring action plans and KPI's are in place to drive and deliver the required financial performance.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Forming a close working relationship with the MD and other Senior Executives within the business.
  • You will provide leadership to the board's finance and accounting strategy, which will optimise the company's financial performance and strategic position in the market.
  • You will have responsibility for overall control of the company's accounting function and business IT systems ensuring controls are robust and processes optimised.
  • You will pay an active contribution to fully support the development of company strategy across all areas of the business.
  • You will ultimately challenge assumptions and decision-making as appropriate whilst also providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
  • You will ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
  • You will be a leader who will develop the finance teams across both sites within the business.
  • You will work closely with the senior team to grow the business, identifying opportunities for cost savings/improvements and ensure they have costed, coherent and measured financial plans for their departments.
  • You will ensure that corporate budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed and take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • You will be responsible for presenting monthly and annual accounts to the Board providing clear and concise financial analysis.
  • You will also ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met and ultimately establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors.


What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a similar role and be able to undertake the duties listed with minimal guidance and be fully qualified. Preferably have experience within Manufacturing.
