We are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Executive to join the Financial Services Team of a highly successful accountancy practice at its London City office. This firm continues to enjoy significant growth, hence the need to add motivated, forward-thinking individuals to the team.

The key function of this role will be to lead a large number of financial services audits, with a focus on investment funds across a range of investment strategies, ensuring deadlines are met and compliant with necessary regulations.

As Audit & Accounts Executive, your responsibilities will include:

* Complete audits in accordance with company audit procedures, with assistance from more senior members of staff where required

* Produce detailed audit planning, including details of potential difficulties, ensuring correct tests are applied to produce sufficient audit evidence

* Allocate sections to junior staff, brief on what is expected of them and monitor the progress of jobs, ensuring that budgets and deadlines are met

* Sign off audit sections and complete the file for review by senior member of the team

* Responsible for final analytical reviews

* Draft letters to clients in relation to the audit/accounts

* Produce and review sets of financial statements

* Produce a short summary on key client issues and the contents of the accounts before passing to the senior member of the team

* Team supervision

You will also provide technical advice, guidance and training to junior team members and monitor their performance, giving feedback after files have been reviewed and completing audit review form at the end of each job.

Further to this, you will have regular communication with partners, audit managers and directors to update on progress, technical issues and for clearance of review points and planning.

We welcome applications from talented people who can satisfy the following criteria:

* ACA or ACCA, fully qualified with extensive practice experience

* At least 3 years auditing experience with excellent audit analysis, planning and completion skills

* Be IT literate with strong Excel, Word and ideally CaseWare (accounts and audit)

* Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior members of staff

* Good up-to-date technical knowledge and familiarity with IFRS, ISA, US GAAP & GAAS would be an asset

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Be organised, client focused and commercially aware

* Team building and problem-solving skills

* Ability to work well under pressure

* Be positive and committed in dealings with both clients and staff
