We urgently require a Junior Credit Analyst, with fluent Mandarin skills, both written and oral for our client based in London. Applicants with previous experience gained from a Commodity background with Listed Products base will be given preference.
Responsibility:
Assessment of counterparty risk/exposure being taken on company client portfolio. This is primarily clients trading listed and OTC commodities.
Direct reporting to the Risk Manager/Head of Risk and to the Credit Committee members for risk decisions.
Counterparty Analysis providing a clear summary of the counterparty risks (business/financial) through written and verbal presentations.
Presentation of files for decision to Senior Management via Credit Committee.
Required to make proposals relating to limits or recovery action to the company Senior Management. The Senior Management will have the ultimate decision making responsibility.
Ultimately the role is to provide Senior management with a summary of counterparty risk for each client analysed.
Close liaison with the Account Executives and visiting clients/attending in-house meetings when required.
Assist in the daily management of credit risk within the company client portfolio.
Requirements:
University Degree in Finance/Economics or related field.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role with knowledge of commodity brokerage business and listed products.
Fluent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English, to allow effective and efficient communications with internal and external stakeholders in the UK as well as those in Greater China area.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to make quick reasoned recommendations.
Adaptable and delivery focussed, who responds positively to new challenges and maintains performance under pressure.
A dedicated team player who can work effectively with others and help to build strong teams and networks, especially within a culturally diverse environment.
Experience working in MS Office Word and Excel
