In the Service Accountant job, you will be:

Responsible for the internal financial management service including financial reporting, creditors and debtors, financial and business planning, monitoring and controlling of revenue and budgets, and analysing and resolving any audit queries
Providing leadership, management and training to the Finance Department ensuring high standards are delivered and staff are kept motivated and well informed
Developing compliance reporting and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures including financial regulations, contract procedure rules, health and safety and risk management procedures

The ideal candidate for the Service Accountant job will have:

Previous experience of working within a Finance Department, including compilation and monitoring of budgets
Experience of managing staff
The ability to work to strict deadlines, build relationships and think strategically to empower the Service's financial future
Qualified to CCAB or ability to become qualified within 12 months
Computer literate, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Enhanced analytical skills
Level 2 Welsh: speaking and listening - the ability to hold a simple conversation in Welsh is essential for this post

This is a permanent vacancy, working 37 hours per week on an annual salary of £38,813 - £41,675 per annum plus company benefits. The location of this vacancy is usually office based in their Headquarters, St Asaph however, due to Covid-19 our client is happy to accept applicants who wish to work remotely.
