Our client is one of the most reputable and highly regarded Accountancy Services firms in the South East.

Due to sustained growth our client is now seeking to recruit ambitious semi senior/senior accountants to join their client accounting services department.

The Role:

In this role you will be reporting directly to the Client Accounting partner.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide exceptional accounting, tax and administrative services to a broad portfolio of SME, and Limited businesses and sole traders, ensuring an excellent customer experience for the client.

You will also be responsible for:

* Ensuring each client receives confident and clear explanations of accounting and tax matters.

* Supporting the Accounts Assistant and ensure that they are receiving the correct level of training and development

* Preparation of statutory accounts from a cashbook without error

* Preparation of the quarterly VAT and PAYE liabilities for each individual client.

* Fully understanding the weekly management accounts and be able to discuss in detail as necessary

* ensuring all documentation is sent to the contractor in a timely manner

* Understand and be able to communicate HMRC deadlines to clients in relation to VAT/PAYE & Corporation Tax, plus HMRC documentation is submitted in a timely manner

* Detailed proactive calls to ensure that the client is aware of their responsibilities as directors a limited company and to explain and reiterate the service in detail

* On-going communication with clients regarding queries on tax, expenses, dividends, salary and other matters.

* Annual discussion regarding statutory accounts and discussing with the client their financial performance and position and give tax advice as necessary
• Ensure all daily deadlines are met with particular attention to KPI's The Ideal Candidate: :

* Experience working within Bank reconciliation / nominal account reconciliations

* Experience of Prepare accounts to trial balance

* Outstanding customer service

As the succsful candidate you will ideally be qualified ACA/ACCA or similar and looking to continue their studies
• Ability to work under pressure and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving
