NEW JUNIOR PENSION FUND ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADING FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPANY IN MIDDLESBOROUGH
Are you an early stage Part Qualified Accountant looking for a new unique opportunity within the pensions/financial services sector?
Do you have knowledge of reconciliation as well as being proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook?
Seeking a new permanent finance role in the Middlesbrough area?
Our client is a specialist FTSE listed financial services company; they provide a positive working environment with an emphasis on training and development and put relationships at the very heart of their business.
This prestigious organisation currently has an opportunity to join them as a Junior Pension Funds Accountant to be responsible for a portfolio of clients' pension scheme accounts and be accountable for their reporting activities.
Our client's Pensions Funds Accounting team performs a critical part of their pensions consultancy service and their teams of pension administrators provide services to a wide range of trust-based company pension schemes, including defined benefit, defined contribution, career average revalued earnings, and hybrid schemes.
As a Junior Pension Fund Accountant you will have a set of clients (maximum 15 schemes), which will change every couple of years to gain further knowledge and expertise. The Pension Fund Accountant is responsible for every aspect on the completion of the Trustee Report & Accounts, enabling us to build the best possible relationships with our clients and auditors and the key responsibilities & accountabilities for this unique opportunity appear below:-
Preparing pension scheme Trustee Report & Accounts.
Reconciling investment transactions & financial statements.
Liaising with auditors and investment managers.
Cash books.
Forging strong working relationships with other teams in order to provide a total service to our clients.
Accurate updating of time recording system (Virtual Office) for both chargeable and non-chargeable activities.
Applications for this role are particularly welcome from early stage Part Qualified Accountants proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience of Profund Aviary would be of advantage but NOT essential just a desire to work and develop your career in this unique sector.
