A fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest businesses in Watford as an Accountant with responsibilities for the Group and Central Services. This role is best suited to someone that is looking for a first move from a practice where they have been responsible for audits and reporting. The business are looking for someone that is either ACA or ACCA qualified and have exposure of audits in businesses commercial or not for profit. The role will require an element of commercialism as this role will interact with senior managers across this multi-national business and will offer a great opportunity for someone to progress and grow with the company.

Duties:

* Coordinate between operations and external audit for half year review

* Year end audit with major input into statutory reporting process

* Produce first draft of Corporation tax computations

* Generate IRFS16 reports

* Monthly central service accounts preparation

* Support treasury team

* Central point of contact for external auditors

* Liaise with divisional and commercial heads to follow up audit requests

* Liaise with external auditors to agree proforma accounts

* Ensure consistency of subsidiary accounts

* Involvement in forecast and quarterly accounts process

* Complete central service monthly accounts

* Provide reporting for treasury

Person spec:

* Qualified ACA or ACCA

* Must come with recent significant audit experience

* Someone looking for first move to commercial business

* Tax knowledge in corporation tax and VAT

* Excellent Excel skills
