Internal Auditor / ACCA Qualified (or similar)
Working within an efficient and professional Audit team, you will report into the organisation's Head of Audit and have responsibility for a broad range of tasks and activities.
We anticipate that the successful candidate for this exciting new position will have responsibility for the following:
*review the organisation's standards and procedures, then provide an insight on the impact that non-compliance has on the organisation.
*complete clear concise reports to inform Senior Management on any indications found of significant non-compliance.
*assist the Head of Audit to develop an understanding within the organisation about the effectiveness of the control strategies, structures and systems.
*contribute to improvements in the functioning of the organisation's risk management and control systems.
*provide ongoing assurance to the organisation that it is in control relative to risk through a proactive, responsive and reactive approach.
*effectively utilise technology and help co-ordinate the actions required to resolve deficiencies and test procedural changes through to implementation.
*develop and maintain good communication with managers, staff and other institutions.
*may be required to assist with the investigation of fraud or other specialist assignments.
We anticipate that the successful candidate for this exciting new opportunity will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*either Accountancy qualified (ACA / ACCA) or Institute qualified (IIA), or qualifying this year.
*prior commercial experience of working in an Internal Auditor function within a busy commercial environment.
*experience of leading audits within a technical environment (IT / Finance etc).
*educated to degree level in a related subject, or commensurate commercial experience.
