Working with investors, financial advisers and distributors around the world, this highly respected firm of Global Investment Managers are renowned for their service and for providing easy access to their investment funds where they use in-house analysis from their own award winning in-house research teams to build international investment products and portfolios stock-by-stock from the bottom-up. Based within their UK Fund Accounting and Reconciliation Services department, the NAV Sign Off team is responsible for all activities pertaining to the daily valuation and validation of NAVs (Net Asset Value) for their wide range of Onshore & Offshore products. In addition to the operational responsibilities the team also plays a key role in supporting projects, developments and testing of system code upgrades affecting fund accounting area. As the successful candidate you will have the responsibility for control and review of various elements of NAV (Net Asset Value) on a wide variety of fund types. The role will focus principally on the daily valuation of the Onshore & Offshore product ranges, where key responsibilities will include: Reviewing wide variety of fund ranges throughout the day, ensuring no material pricing errors Reviewing processes and implement procedural improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency Following up any issues arising with other areas within Investment Services and Fund Accounting and see through to resolution Ensuring that all Pre - NAV evaluation exceptions are resolved in a timely manner, and that adequate escalation procedures are in place Participation in monthly Performance NAV and Swing pricing processes Ensuring that development, implementation and documentation of procedures is carried out Management reporting Ensuring that business critical issues can be responded to and resourced effectively As someone whose experience has been gained within a fund accounting, asset valuation and/or NAV oversight/sign off environment, you do not have to be a fully qualified accountant , however you will have ideally studied for or be studying towards the relevant professional qualifications (study will also be fully supported) Additionally and due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you possess proven planning, organisation and problem solving abilities together with being able to work under pressure and communicate effectively and recognise when issues need to be escalated.
