Established in 1987, Marriotts Property is a professional business providing advice to clients in the commercial, development, rural and residential property sectors. We have a strong management team entrusted with well over £100 million's worth of clients' property. Our Accounts Department provide regular financial feedback to clients, tailored to meet individual needs. We are seeking a suitably experienced and capable assistant to work alongside our Accounts Manager to help manage our growing portfolio of clients. The successful applicant will report to the Accounts Manager and will be responsible for the daily processing of our clients' income and expenditure property accounts. RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities will be wide and varied, but will include the following: Processing sales and purchase ledger invoices for multiple ledgers. Raising monthly invoices to landlords, processing payments, raising statements. Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations Maintaining the property management database (CFP) including updating information and monitoring compliance requirements. Verbal and written communication with Business Partners, Clients, Tenants and Suppliers. Credit control management. Preparation of VAT returns. Assisting with the preparation of year end accounts. Assisting with management of service charge accounts including budgeting and reconciliations at year end. Filing and other administration tasks. JOB SKILLS Must have experience of working in an Accounts Assistant position You will be required to respect and maintain client confidentiality at all times. You will need to be a good communicator and a team player. Extremely organised, natural multi-tasker working to set deadlines Strong Excel skills, and preferably CFP and QuickBooks experience. This is a part time role, initially for 15 hours per week, but with the opportunity for the right candidate to increase their hours and level of responsibility.
