Are you looking to join a happy finance team in the Nottingham area? My client is a design and technology business who have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant. You will join a team of 5 and have a varied and important role in the business The Job The role will have shared responsibility for all aspects of transactional Finance and will initially focus on sales invoicing including the annual billing processes. Assist with credit control, new customer applications, credit reviews and cash posting, whilst providing cover across purchase invoicing, bank reconciliations, employee expenses and any other Finance department tasks. Contribute to the month end process, assisting with the production of timely, accurate and relevant financial information, as well as ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely manner and in line with relevant VAT, Tax and other relevant regulations. Preparation of the sales daily invoicing and preparation of the annual billing cycles Preparation of any sales reports, as required to support the monthly billing process. Preparation of any credit notes as required along with completion of the credit note analysis. Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments. Posting and allocating daily receipts to the ERP system, cash tracking sheets and banking cheques. Performing customer/supplier credit checks, setting up new and maintaining accounts within the ERP system Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary.
